1/3/2023 0 Comments Microsoft onedrive pricing![]() Its little free storage is 5 GB, which is understandable since the user is given this space when creating a Microsoft account, but unlike its strongest competitors, I would say, OneDrive falls quite short. ![]() Comparing other services, I would say that it is the one that gives you more benefits since you not only have cloud service, you have the whole Office package and unlike the competition, sometimes they only give you the cloud service and even more expensive. Now of course there are more expensive plans, but eventually, these bring more space. It can be said that it is suitable for those who need to store heavy files since, with the main plan that is given, the 1 TB is practically enough for anyone who only needs to keep the essentials. With the easy handling of the different menus, the user-friendly OneDrive is essential for everyone who needs to store their documents, photos, unique information, etc. Being still a student and that my university gives me this type of service, it is great because the collaborative work it provides is excellent and very effective with real-time and synchronization. ![]() I feel that it is the best value for money in the cloud services market. Microsoft will initially provide 1 TB/user of OneDrive for Business storage, which admins can increase to 5 TB/user. #Microsoft onedrive pricing downloadThe overall experience of having OneDrive is quite pleasant as you have that feeling that your files are safe and that if you have Office on your devices, you can practically review your documents anywhere because you can download them as well. Unlimited individual cloud storage for qualifying plans for subscriptions of five or more users, otherwise 1 TB/user. ![]()

1/3/2023 0 Comments Kindle fire hd 6 reviews![]() ![]() It's not as good as the regular E Ink Kindle under direct sunlight, but with the hot California sun beating down, it was much easier to see text and images on the Fire HD's display than on the Nexus or iPad. The Fire's screen now has a special coating that makes it easier to see outside and reduces glare. I didn't find the Fire HD's display that much better than the Nexus 7's in my side-by-side comparisons, but I did notice a difference outdoors. I often found myself looking for the buttons for longer than I should have had to, and then confusing them with each other.Īmazon added HD to the name, which gives you an idea of just how much it is focusing on the new, 1280 x 800-resolution screen. The black buttons are flush with the edge of the tablet, blending in a bit too well. Also, the 13.9-ounce tablet is a tad heavier than the 12-ounce Nexus 7, though you'd only notice if you were holding them both side by side.īut my major nitpick with the hardware has to do with something as simple as the power and volume buttons. However, Amazon did widen the tablet with a thicker screen bezel, which makes it a bit harder to hold than the Nexus 7. The all-black, rubberized back, the thinner design, and rounded edges all make the tablet more comfortable to hold, and it's a better looking device as well. It takes no more than a second to notice how much nicer the new Kindle Fire HD is in comparison to the older model. So, is Amazon's claim, well, just a claim? And then there is Apple's iPad, which starts at $399 and has reigned as king of the tablets since its introduction. Google's Nexus 7 costs the same and has similar hardware features. Even though the new 7-inch Fire HD starts at just $199 it has substantially better specs than last years' $199 Kindle Fire and is comparable to higher-end tablets with its HD display, dual-core processor, stereo speakers, and improved Wi-Fi.īut while it sounds good on paper and on its own, the competition is much more fierce than it was a year ago and it's not just a specs game. We have built the best tablet at any price," Bezos said on stage last week when he introduced the 7- and 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDs.īezos' bravado was understandable. "We haven't built the best tablet at a certain price. ![]() 11, 2012 — - Sometimes companies make small, flowery claims about their products - makes the perfect gift! Stunning visuals! If the sequence above doesn't work for you, you can try skipping the 'Down/Menu' remote sequence and seeing if just the 'Menu/Play-pause' sequence works. It'll just sit there waiting until it sees the USB signature of an ATV2 in DFU mode before continuing. If you have trouble getting it into DFU mode, you should be able to try unplugging the ATV2 and replugging it in to try again without having to restart Seas0npass. Seas0npass detected the AppleTV going into DFU mode and started installing the jailbreak. Once that fast blink was visible, I let go both of the remote buttons and then held down 'Menu' and 'Play/pause' on the remote (like the dialog said to) for seven seconds. ![]() At the end of those seconds, the 'status' LED on the ATV was blinking fast. Then I took the remote and pointed it at the ATV2 and held down the 'Down' control and the 'Menu' button for 6-7 seconds. Once the dialog came up, I plugged in the MicroUSB, then quickly plugged in the power cable. ![]() When Seas0npass is waiting for DFU mode, here's what I had to do to get it to work. However, if you're using a MacBook/MacBook Pro, your USB connection won't have enough power, so be ready in the next step. Here's the rub: It doesn't mention the power cord and may, in fact, specifically tell you not to plug that in. When it's ready, it will say 'Waiting for device to enter DFU mode.' and give you a helpful graphic prompting you to plug in your ATV2. It needs to be able to control iTunes via scripting events to finish its job.Įventually, Seas0npass will finish downloading the IPSW, and do a bunch of surgery to it automagically which it will tell you about using cryptic status messages. If Seas0npass tells you that you have UI Scripting disabled, and asks to enable it, tell it OK. #JAILBREAK APPLE TV 2 SEAS0NPASS UNTETHERED UPDATE#It'll offer you two options: 'Create IPSW' or 'Boot Tethered.' Select 'Create IPSW.' It will begin downloading the IPSW from Apple's update servers (assuming it's still available). Note: I'm using version 0.78 which will perform an untethered jailbreak of the ATV2 4.3 software. We'll deal with that when it comes.ĭownload the Seas0npass jailbreak utility from here for your Mac. Apparently, some cables aren't high enough quality or just don't have 'the magic' and won't work. The only gotcha to worry about is the MicroUSB cable. If you've got all the above, don't worry, it's not that complicated. ![]() Optionally, you'll need an HDMI TV to connect the ATV2 to to complete the jailbreak and setup. An aluminum Apple Remote (included with ATV2).An AppleTV 2 power cable (included with ATV2).For those new to this, untethered means you don't have to have the ATV2 connected to anything via USB in order to get it to boot for use once you've finished the jailbreak. #JAILBREAK APPLE TV 2 SEAS0NPASS UNTETHERED INSTALL#So I figured I'd add my own 'here's how I got it to work' on the off chance someone Googling it in desperation like I had to both times will find it.įirst of all, let's be clear about the goal: I'm attempting to jailbreak an AppleTV 2 (the black hockey puck one) to an untethered jailbreak with a functioning XBMC (Xbox Media Center) install running on it. I've had to jailbreak ATV2s twice now, and both times I've gotten caught up in the 'oh yeah just one more thing' details of this particular finicky task. Plus the Linux app is decent enough, integrates well into the Ubuntu desktop (yep, sound menu support is present) and so on. #Ubuntu musicplayer for freeIt’s not the most perfect feature as - big, big warning so please take notice - it can totally screw up your track metadata without so much as a prompt or a whistle.īut, even for free account users, you get access to a much bigger array of music than that you (likely) have locally. A little known fact is that, while yes it’s a big a memory hungry, is Spotify can also play your local media files. Naturally, as one of the biggest music streaming services in the world (and one which I know a great many of you use daily) we couldn’t not give a spot to Spotify. #Ubuntu musicplayer installInstall DeaDBeeF in Ubuntu and Linux Mint: $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:starws-box/deadbeef-player Other DeaDBeeF features including support for custom playlist generations, plugin support, a live ‘design mode’, some basic metadata editing, command line playback, and (a whole lot) more. Instead, DeaDBeeF pivots around playlist-based listening. #Ubuntu musicplayer fullThink of it as the Punk Goes Acoustic to other player’s full studio version.Īs such you won’t find built-in music management features. The app also ships without any major dependencies on GNOME or KDE, and doesn’t use a common media backend like GStreamer. It eschews the overblown feature sets you’ll see in other apps and insteads favours a stripped back focus on just playing music. It’s generally talked of in terms of being a Linux version of the popular freeware Windows app Foobar2000, but a) I’m not familiar with that player and b) DeaDBeeF (finicky capitalisation aside) more than stands on its own. Exaile Music PlayerĭeaDBeeF is billed as the ‘ultimate music player’, and it goes a fair way to matching the claim. Install Clementine in Ubuntu and Linux Mint: $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:me-davidsansome/clementine Music aficionados also get built-support for viewing artist and song info, seeing song lyrics, SoundCloud integration, and… Well, you get the idea! ![]() Poke around the menus and you’ll find everything from a music equalizer to a built-in format conversion tool, from visualizers to support for WiiMotes, and integration with an (optional) ‘Android app’ remote control app. The player hides a ripe amount of advanced options under its (often unwieldy) peel. ![]() But there are other reasons to use Clementine, too. If you’re the sort of person who tend to navigate (and manage) your music from a ‘files and folders‘ POV, you’ll appreciate Clementine’s approach to library management. This is because the player offers tree view navigation instead of a column or “artwork” browser. Sayonara Audio PlayerĬlementine is a cross-platform music player written in Qt and is particularly popular with people who manage large music collections. Install Rhythmbox in Ubuntu and Linux Mint: $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/apps For an improved experience on Ubuntu I highly recommend using the rhythmbox-plugin-alternative-toolbar available in the Ubuntu repos as it makes the app look 10x better. The player also boasts integration with online music service SoundCloud. It can scrobble to Last.fm, and it has built-in support for podcasts and internet radio stations. The app lets you do more than just play, manage and sort music and create playlists. You can also point the app to look at other sources or folders should you have them. Rhythmbox can automatically watch for new music files stored in the ~/Music folder. Not that you have to settle for this look as a variety of Rhythmbox plugins can be added to customise, rearrange and transform the look and feel of the player into something else entirely. The standard layout of the app is straightforward to navigate, and it’s easy to filter through your music using the column browser or the search box. Widely used, Rhythmbox is a reliable, dependable, and extensible GTK music player that uses the Gstreamer backend. Rhythmbox is the default music player in Ubuntu, and as such merits a place in this list. ![]() 1/2/2023 0 Comments Slate apartments![]() ![]() Step outside your door and we're also conveniently located minutes from shops, restaurants, and entertainment in downtown Decatur and downtown Avondale Estates. Other than that this week has been mostly Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. #Sea of solitude platinum Pc#I always forget that my PC is now relatively functional after years of being way below minimum specs on games. Steve started Metro: Exodus after giving in to the temptation of Xbox Game Pass for PC: “I was planning on it just being a one-off month, but they’re adding some of my Steam wishlist, so I might subscribe for longer. It’s a bit of a relic now, though I can definitely see why the series has such a hardcore following.” “This sequel to 2016’s Job Simulator has been a nice surprise and feels way more fleshed out than the original game. I also wrapped up Shenmue HD while bagging myself another platinum trophy. In lieu of an actual holiday, Jim has been playing Vacation Simulator instead. Pretty much all the tasks in the game are lifted from Mad Max, but it hasn’t got the Mad Max story to back it up, just a generic bad guy wants to take over the world thing.” He’s also played Destiny 2, but that should be taken as granted. #Sea of solitude platinum update#I’ve just made a start on the Shadowbringers update for FFXIV so I know what I can expect to be playing this weekend!Īran has been playing Devil May Cry 5 this week – “The combat feels a little slower than what I remember from previous games, but it’s still decent fun.” – while Tuffcub sounds like he’s pretty much done with Rage 2: “I think I’m gonna give up rather finish it. Besides that I’ve been playing the creaky Godzilla game with my son as he utterly loves it, as well as some bits and bats on the Switcheroo. I’ve been playing games inside, as God intended, and amongst those I got to review the brilliant Sea of Solitude which is both emotionally charged and a wonderful example of the growth of our industry.
